So here are the best things about Taya, my youngest who is 2.
Firstly, she is bonkers. Proof:
Secondly, she has a marvellous sense of humour. Intentional or not, she makes me laugh when:
Thirdly, the way she talks. Oh, I hope she never stops saying some of these things.
Ooh I love her. Funny, fearlessand cute. Here's a little Taya gallery.
So here are the best things about Taya, my youngest who is 2.
Firstly, she is bonkers. Proof:
- Eats blu tac
- Eats egg shell knowingly and says she likes it
- Licks mirrors and windows.. the 332 bus is no exception.
- Hoovers her hair and face
- Pretending to be a dog in the park fetching a stick
- The bom-bom dance
- The hidden poo incidents / pooing in a music box
Secondly, she has a marvellous sense of humour. Intentional or not, she makes me laugh when:
- She puts her hands over her ears during song time at drop-in and looks round at everyone in an accusing way
- She chases Brooke with bogeys on her fingers
- The "Little bit funny?" routine
Thirdly, the way she talks. Oh, I hope she never stops saying some of these things.
- She says "My" instead of "I". (Hence, "My can't wait! My like it!")
- The intonation which means the last word of a sentence goes up, so even if she was asking for a pony it would still sound like a totally reasonable request which you'd be mad to deny. I heard her do it on Chris the other day. "Daddy, please my have a lolly?" and without missing a beat he replied "Yes sweetheart, let's pop to the shop. What sort do you want?", whilst I gesticulated and mouthed "YOU PUSHOVER!" at him.
- The way she speaks is also gorgeous when she's excited, with great facial expressions and hand gestures. She was telling a friend the other day how she had been to a cafe and "My had a HOT COCKLATE and a COCKLATE CROISSANT!"
- She makes some great spoonerisms. The other day she declared Darla in Finding Nemo was a "Kill Fisher"
- Of course the cutting off of heads with her own knife should be included here.
- She randomly strokes my hand and tells me "Mummy you are lovely"
- After 2 years of hating my hair and angrily pushing it off my shoulders when having a cuddle, she recently decided that I had Rapunzel-like qualities and would stroke my hair saying "Is so beautiful! Mummy my LOVE your hair". So I was expecting a bit of disappointment at the weekend when I had it all chopped off, but she declared instead "Mummy, you look amazing! What happened to your hair?"
- When I tell her off she beams at me. A full on, round cheeked, bright eyed smile which is quite disarming.
- When she plays Toca Tea Party on the ipad and a drink gets spilt she does this pretend wailing complete with eye rubbing before hastily cleaning it up.
- She is usually the first one up in the morning and comes into our bedroom and picks which of us she wants to wake up (usually me). She'll sidle into bed with me for the briefest of cuddles before mock-whispering "Mummy, let's get up. Please my have SHEEREAL?"
Ooh I love her. Funny, fearlessand cute. Here's a little Taya gallery.
